Construction Cost: $150,000 The existing first floor, comprised of a labyrinth of classrooms occupied by Heald Vocational College, was converted to office space with a large whole sale rug showroom behind. The design was based on the clients desire for a utilitarian space. The restrooms were upgraded for disabled access compliance and a kitchen and employee lunchroom was added. The existing floor coverings were removed to reveal a hardwood floor, which was refinished. The doors and windows from the removed partitions were recycled in the new office areas.
